Its been nearly three decades since she started her modelling career, but Cindy Crawford is still looking as good as ever. Spotted enjoying a stroll down the beach in Los Angeles in a pair of hot pink shorts, the supermodel looked as fabulous as ever. While many women her age may shy away from such an outfit, the stunning mother-of-two, 46, is still able to pull off short shorts.
Cindy rarely models these days, preferring to focus her time on raising her two children Presley, 12, and Kaia, 10. She often accompanies her restaurateur husband Rande Gerber on business trips abroad. Cindy recently admitted she had mixed feelings following an announcement b yVogue's publisher Conde Nast that they would no longer work with models aged under 16 or 'appear to have an eating disorder'. She told Jezebel.com: 'I don't know. I guess it's...great. But that was never one of my issues.
I think that the fashion industry is in the consumers' hands. Because if they buy into it, nothing will change. If consumers don't like it that models are too skinny, or too young, and they don't buy the magazines, then believe me, then the magazines will have to change.' When asked what she thought the biggest issues in the modelling world were, she replied: 'You know, I don't know. I'm not still in the trenches right now. But if you make too many rules - like, "You can't work this many hours" - it doesn't work, because sometimes you have to. Sometimes you have to get up early or be prepared to do the job in the freezing cold. 'I think that, again though, models have to have a voice and speak up for themselves, every day, on the job... People have to respect each other. And if you're working with someone who doesn't respect you, then leave.'
